Note:- (1) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than
those notified will summarily be rejected. No rejection memo will be issued.
(Candidates belonging to ST communities also are eligible to apply for the
vacancy reserved for SC community in Kasaragod district. In order to be
considered in the absence of SC candidates).
(2) Separate ranked lists will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this
notification. Ranked Lists thus prepared and published as per this notification
shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the
vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled fur to the
paucity of candidates during the currency of the ranked list published for the
post in the following district as detailed below:

(3) Candidate shall submit application for the post to the concerned district where the vacancy is existing
for their respective community and shall note the name of that district against the relevant column.
Application should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification. If applications
are submitted contrary to the above direction and if he/she is selected his/her name will be removed
from the ranked lists and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her.
(4) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the
special conditions laid down in G.O. (MS) No.154/71/PD dated, 27.5.1971. A candidate advised for
appointment in one Revenue District from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district
unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in this district.
Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O. (MS) No.4/61/PD dated, 02-01-
1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from
applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified.
(5) Method of appointment: Direct Recruitment [from candidates belonging to SIUC Nadar, Scheduled Caste
and OX communities only].
Note: in the absence of SC candidates ST candidates will also be considered.
6. Age Limit: 1. SIUC Nadar candidates – 18-39. Candidates born between 02.01.1973 and 01.01.1994
(Both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post. (includes the relaxation as per para 2(1)
2. Scheduled Caste/OX – 18-41. Candidates born between 02.01.1971 and 01.01.1994 (Both
dated included) are eligible to apply for the post. (This includes the relaxation as per para 2(1)
of General Conditions).
Note:- For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para (2) of the General Conditions except para
2(1), subject to the conditions that the maximum age limit shall no case exceed 50 (fifty) years.
7. Qualifications:
1. Pass in SSLC
2.(A) Surveying and Lewelling (Lower) KGTE/MGTE and any two of the following qualifications of
1. Building Drawing & Estimating
2. Building Materials & Constructions
3. Earth Work & Road Making
4. Hydraulics & Irrigation Engineering
5. Mensuration
B. Certificate issued by the Director General of Resettlement and Employment in Surveyor
Trade under the Craftsman Training Scheme
C. ITI Draftsman certificate in Civil or Mechanical
D. Diploma in Agricultural and Rural Engineering awarded by the Kerala Agricultural
University or its equivalent recognized by the Kerala Agricultural University with a period of
not less than 2 years.
8. Mode of sending Applications: Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ' system on
the Official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission '' for applying for the post.
Candidates who have registered shall apply by logging in to their profile using their User- ID and
password. Candidates shall click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification link for
applying for a post. No application fee is required. Candidates can view and have a print-out of the details
in the profile by clicking the link Registration Card, if required. Candidates are responsible for the
