Special Recruitment for PH (Orthopaedic Upper Extremities (Minor), Lower
Extremities &Partially deaf) for filling up of 3% backlog vacancies during 2004-07
(State wide)
Applications with photo uploaded are invited online only from qualified candidates
belonging to PH (Orthopaedic Upper Extremities (Minor), Lower Extremities &Partially
deaf) category in the State of Kerala for the following posts.

The Ranked List prepared in pursuance of this notification is intended to make recruitment
to the 3% backlog vacancies during the period 01.01.2004 - 31.12.2007 earmarked for the various
categories and PH groups as per GO (P) No 7/2011/SWD dated 24/01/2011 and will remain in
force for a maximum period of three years subject to the condition that the ranked list will cease to
exist as and when candidates are advised and appointed against the above mentioned vacancies.
Rules 14 to 17 of Part II, KS&SSR are not applicable to this selection.
Candidates will be advised and appointed against the above mentioned vacancies and also
against the backlog vacancies, if any, reported by the Appointing Authorities as earmarked in
GO(P) No 7/11/SWD dated 24/01/2011.
Selection to the above-mentioned vacancies will be made from among the (Orthopaedic
Upper Extremities (Minor), Lower Extremities &Partially deaf) PH categories found suitable
for the post as per existing government orders and vacancies will be apportioned among these
categories in the ratio 1:1. If any of these categories are not eligible for a post the vacancies will be
apportioned among the other categories.
5.Method of Recruitment : Direct Recruitment (from among PH-Orthopaedic Upper
Extremities (Minor), Lower Extremities & Partially deaf) by special recruitment.
Note:- Application submitted by candidate other than those belonging to PH (Orthopaedic Upper
extremities (Minor), Lower Extremities & Partially deaf) category will be rejected. Individual
rejection memo will not be sent to them.
6. Age : 19-50. Only candidates born between 02.01.1962 and 01.01.1993 (both dates
included) are eligible for this post.
7. Qualification :
1. S.S.L.C or its equivalent qualification.
2. (a) National Trade Certificate in the appropriate trade with three years
experience in the trade after obtaining the certificate.
OR
(b) National Apprenticeship certificate in the appropriate trade with one year
experience after obtaining the certificate.
OR
(c) Diploma in the appropriate branch of Engineering from a Government or
Government Recognized polytechnic or its equivalent qualification.
Note:- (i) The experience gained by a Workshop Attender can also be deemed to be
qualifying experience in the trade for selection to this post.
(ii) The certificate to be produced in proof of experience shall be in the form
given below.

Note:- 1. The veracity of the experience Certificate will be subject to scrutiny and legal actions
will be initiated against those who issue or produce bogus certificate.
Training:- Only those who have successfully completed training in the Central Training Institute
shall be eligible for promotion. However the eligibility of those who have not been
deputed for training by the Government for no fault of theirs will not be effected if they
are otherwise qualified for promotion but such persons should undergo training after
promotion.
8. Method of submitting application
The Application with photo uploaded shall be submitted online only. Name of the
applicant and date of taking the photo should be printed on the photograph. Detailed instructions
regarding the submission of applications are available in the website of Kerala Public Service
Commission viz www.keralapsc.org. No application fee is required. The barcode number in the
application form shall be quoted in all further enquiries/correspondences. Candidates are requested
to take a printout of their online application and forward it to the Under Secretary I, GR Special
Cell for PH, Kerala Public Service Commission, Thiruvananthapuram along with self attested
copies to prove their date of birth, qualification and disability certificate from the standing
Disability Assessment Board. The above documents should reach the concerned office within
seven days from the last date fixed for receipt of applications. The applications which are not
submitted in accordance with the instructions given in the website will be summarily rejected.
9. As per Para 7 of GO(P) No.7/2011/SWD dated 24.1.11, appropriate adjustments will be
made, if necessary, in the ratio among different categories, as and when the Government issues
appropriate orders thereto, in order to recoup the paucity in the share due to Blind and Deaf
categories during the period upto 2003.
