FIRST N.C.A. NOTIFICATION
Applications must be submitted online through the official website of the Commission after 'ONE
TIME REGISTRATION'. Candidates who have already registered can apply through their profile.

Note:
(i) Conventional type application for the post will be summarily rejected. Candidates can apply on-line
only on www.keralapsc.org
(ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be
summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued.
(iii) Separate Ranked List will be prepared for Kasaragod district in pursuance of this notification.
Ranked Lists thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force until candidates
are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above community but remain
unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked Lists published for the post
in the following districts.

(iv) Applications should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification. If
applications are submitted contrary to the above direction and if he/she selected his/her name will
be removed from the ranked lists and disciplinary action will be taken against him /her. Candidates
should note the name of the district concerned in the relevant column.
(v) The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the
special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS)No.154/71/PD, dated 27.5.1971. A candidate advised for
appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to
another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of
commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will
be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms)No.4/61/PD, dated 2.1.1961. Candidates already in Government
service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post but they
can apply to higher posts when notified.
5. Method of Appointment : Direct Recruitment (from Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste
community only ) [ In the absence of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste Community candidates
belonging to Scheduled Tribe will be considered]
6. Age limit : 18- 45, only candidates born between 2.1.1967and 1.1.1994 (both
dates included) are eligible to apply for this post.

Note :- For concessions allowed in upper age limit, please see para (2) except 2(i) of the General
Conditions under part II of this notification.
7. Qualifications:
i) A Bachelor's Degree or Post Graduate Degree in English Language and literature
and
ii) B.Ed/B.T with English as optional subject conferred or recognized by any of the Universities in
Kerala
In the absence of those with qualifications in item (ii) candidates with B.Ed/ B.T in any other subject
conferred or recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala will be considered.
Note:-
(i) The disciplines in which B.A/M.A and B.Ed degree were obtained shall be mentioned.
(ii) Those candidates who secured B.Ed./B.T degrees from the universities outside Kerala should note in
the application form the number and date of relevant orders declaring the said degree as equivalent to those
prescribed for this selection. The copies of such order shall be produced before the Commission when it is
called for.
8. Special Concessions Regarding Appointment and Age Limit:
(i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(Ms)No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970 and G.O.
(Ms)No.9/78/G.Edn, dated 21.01.1978 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as teachers, if
they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base
establishment are included under the terms of Jawans. Wives of Jawans should select “Are you entitled
to any priority” as “yes” on online application and give the details in the space following. Such
candidates should obtain proper certificates from the officer commanding stating the name, Military rank
and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission
(G.O. (Ms)No.509/64/Edn. Dated 19.09.1964, G.O.(Ms)No.614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.1965 and G.O
(Ms)No.243/66/Edn., dated 27.05.1966).
(ii) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment
as Teachers (G.O.(MS)No.122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05.1975 and G.O.(MS)
No.50/70/PD Dated 12/02/1970)
(iii) Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery schools who are Graduates and are otherwise
qualified will be exempted from upper age limit. G.O.(MS) No.185/70/Edn. Dated 18.04.70 and G.O.(MS)
No.466/70/Edn. Dated 11.11.70. They should produce proper certificates from authorities concerned as and
when required by the Commission.
Note:- The candidates who claim concessions on the basis of any of the above reason should state
the fact in the relevant column of the online application and give details in the space
following. Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over
aged candidates.
9. Mode of submitting applications:-
Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ' system on the Official Website of Kerala
Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.org' for applying for the post. Candidates who have
registered shall apply by logging in to their profile using their User- ID and password. Candidates shall
click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification link for applying for a post. No
application fee is required. Candidates can view and have a print-out of the details in the profile by
clicking the link Registration Card, if required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the
personal information and secrecy of password. Before applying for a post, candidates must ensure
correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the User- ID for further communication
with the Commission. Applications once submitted will be received as provisional and particulars shall
not be deleted or altered after submission. Applications submitted not in accordance with the conditions
of the notification will be summarily rejected. Documents to prove qualification, experience , community,
age etc. have to be produced as and when called for .
