force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the
publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three
years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancy noted
above and those that may be reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of
the list.
5 Method of appointment : By Transfer (from qualified Staff in Ministeial
Subordinate Service of KVHSE Department)
6 Age Limit : Age 18 and above. Only candidates born on or before
01.01.1994 are eligible to apply for this post. Upper age
limit is not applicable for this selection.

7. Qualifications:
A degree from any of the Universities in Kerala or equivalent and 3 year Diploma in
commercial practice from the Board of Technical Examinations Kerala or an equivalent
qualification.
OR
A degree awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or it's equivalent with 2 year Diploma
in Typewriting English and Malayalam (Higher) from Board of Technical Examinations
Kerala or an equivalent qualification.
OR
A Pass in Vocational Higher Secondary Course in any commerce group conducted by
Government of Kerala or it's equivalent with B.Com awarded by any of the Universities in
Kerala or an equivalent qualification.
Note:-
a)
The total number of vacancies sanctioned for the post of Vocational Instructor shall be filled
by the method of
(i) By promotion from qualified Laboratory Assistant in KVHSE Department
(ii) By Transfer from qualified staff in the Ministeial Subordinate Service in the KVHSE
Department and
(iii) By Direct Recruitment.
The vacancies are filled under item(i),(ii) and(iii) above in the ratio 2:1:7 subject wise. If
sufficient number of qualified persons are not available under item(i) or (ii) above, such
vacancies shall also be filled up by Direct Recruitment. [GO(P)No. 81/2004/G.Edn dated,
12.3.2004]
b) All the educational qualifications for teaching posts should be one acquired after a regular
course of study from a recognized University in Kerala or recognized as equivalent thereto by
any of the Universities in Kerala.
c) Candidates who apply for both Direct and By Transfer recruitments should submit separate
applications.
d) If sufficient number of candidates are not available form the ministeial staff of the Kerala
Vocatgional Higher Secondary Education Department the vacancies reserved for them will be
filled up from open market (Direct recruitment)
e) The rules regarding reservation of appoinment contemplated in the article 14 to 17 of para II
of KS & SSR 1958 are not applicable to appoinment By Transfer method.
f) The applicant shall be a regular ministeial staff of the Kerala Vocational Higher Secondary
Subordinate Service. They shall obtain a certificate from the head of office showing their
service particulars in the form given as annexure of the notification and produce the same as
and when required by the Commission.
g) Persons appointed through Employment Exchange or otherwise and working in temporary
basis are not eligible to apply for the post in response to this notification.
h) Every person appointed to the post shall be from the date on which he/she joins duty will be
on probation for a total period of two years on duty on duty with in a continuous period of
three years.
i) The Commission shall conduct a common test if necessary for the candidates who apply for
Direct and By Transfer recruitment and separate rank list will be published for both
categories.
j) In case a written examination is conducted for this selection the admission tickets of the
eligible candidates will be issued through the official website of the Kerala Public Service
Commission and the candidates shall download and take printouts of the same.

8 Mode of submitting applications
Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ' system on the Official Website

have registered shall apply by logging in to their profile using their User- ID and password.
Candidates must exclusively click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification
