Applications must be submitted online through the official website of the Commission after 'ONE TIME
REGISTRATION' .Candidates who have already registered can apply through their profile.
1. Department : Agriculture

4. Number of vacancies : Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 6 (Six)

Note :- The above vacancies are now in existence. The Ranked List published as per this notification will be
valid until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for Scheduled Tribe Community as
unfilled due to paucity of candidates during the vacancy of the Ranked List published on 28/08/2008 (Category No.
138/07, Gazette dated 30/04/2007) for the post.
5. Method of appointment :- Direct Recruitment from among candidates belongs to Scheduled Tribe Community only
Note:-
(1) In the absence of ST candidates, the application of SC candidates will also be considered
(2) Application submitted by candidates belonging to other than the communities mentioned
above will be rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to them individually.
6. Age Limit :-
[For conditions regarding age relaxation please see part. 2 of the General Conditions except para 2(i)]
Note :- The Village Extension Officers who have been selected and have undergone the Degree course in
Agricultural Science and obtained the Degree from Kerala Agricultural University will be eligible to get age relaxation
in upper age limit upto 45 years for direct recruitment to the post of Agricultural Officer.
7. Qualifications:- B.Sc Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture awarded by Kerala Agricultural University or Degree in
Agriculture/Horticulture from any other University recognised by Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
Note:-
1. Candidates with Postgraduate Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture but not having basic degree in
Agriculture/Horticulture will be ineligible to apply for the post.
18-42, ie only candidates born between 02/01/1970 and 01/01/1994 (both dates
included are eligible to apply for the post. (With the relaxation as per para 2(i) of
General Conditions)
2. The Degree awarded by the Colleges/Universities should be after the course of study having 10+2+4 Pattern
prescribed by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
8. Mode of sending applications :- Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ' system on the
Official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.org' for applying for the post. Candidates who
have registered shall apply by logging in to their profile using their User- ID and password. Candidates must
exclusively click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification link for applying for a post. No
application fee is required. Candidates can view and have a print-out of the details in the profile by clicking the link
Registration Card, if required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of
password. Before applying for a post, candidates must ensure correctness of the information in their profile. They must
quote the User- ID for further communication with the Commission. Applications once submitted will be received as
provisional and particulars shall not be deleted or altered after submission. Applications will be summarily rejected if
non compliance with the notification in due course of processing. Documents to prove Qualification, experience,
community, age etc. have to be produced as and when called for .
