Note: i) Conventional type application for the above post will be summarily rejected. Candidates can apply online

ii) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to the communities other than those notified will be summarily
rejected. No rejection memo will be issued.
iii) Seperate Ranked list will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus
prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed
against the vacancies earmarked for the above community, but remain unfilled due to paucity of the candidates
during the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following district.

iv) Applications shall not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification. If applications are
submitted contrary to the above direction and if selected his/her name will be removed from the Ranked List and
disciplinary action will be taken against him/her.
v) The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special
conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD, dated 27.5.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one
revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he completes
five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is
allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms)No.4/61/PD, dated 2.1.1961. Candidates already
in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but
they can apply to higher posts when notified.
5. Method of appointment: Direct Recruitment (from candidates belonging to Ezhava, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled
Tribe, LC/AI, OBC, Viswakarma, OX, dheevara, Hindu Nadar Communities only)(In the absence of candidates
belonging to Scheduled caste community, candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe community will be considered
and vice versa.)
6. Age Limit : 18-43 Only candidates born between 02/01/1969 and 01.01.1994 (both dates
included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of Ezhava, LC/AI, OBC,
Viswakarma, OX, Dheevara, and Hindu Nadar communities only.
18-45 Only Candidates born between 02.01.1967 and 01.01.1994 (both dates
included) are eligible to apply for this post in the case of SC, ST and also OX
candidates who have converted to Christianity from SC communities after
attaining the age of eighteen years and children of such parents. [including the
relaxation as per para 2(i) of General Conditions]
Note:- For conditions regarding other age relaxation please see para 2 of the general conditions except para 2 (i)
7. Qualification:-
A degree in Arabic or Arabic as one of the optional subjects under pattern II of Part III and B.Ed/B.T//L.T
conferred or recognised by the Universities in Kerala
OR
A title of oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognised by the Universities in Kerala (if such title has
been declared as equivalent to Part III of degree) and certificate in Language Teachers Training issued by the
Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.
Note: (i) Post Graduates in Arabic are also eligible to apply if they possess B.Ed/B.T/L.T.
(ii) B.Ed shall be in the concerned language.
(iii) Disciplines in which BA/MA and B.Ed degree were obtained should be mentioned.
(iv) Those candidates who secured BA/MA/B.Ed/B.T. Degree from the Universities outside Kerala should
note in the application form the number and date of relevent order recognizing the said degree.
8. SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT
(i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(MS) No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.70 and G.O.(MS) No. 9/78/G.Edn.
Dated 21.1.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed
qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of
Jawans Wives of Jawans should note in the application that they are wives of Jawans. Such candidates should
obtain proper certificates from the Officer commanding staing the name, Military rank and Military address of their
husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O.(MS) No. 509/64 Edn. Dated
19.9.1964, G.O. (MS) No. 614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.65 and G.O.(MS) No. 243/66/Edn. Dated 27.5.66).
(ii) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O.(MS)
No. 122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05.1975 and GO (MS) No. 50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970).
(iii) Teachers of the Government Primary & Nursery School who are graduates & otherwise qualified will be
exempted from upper age limit (G.O.(MS) No.185/70/Edn dated 18.4.1970 & G.O.(MS) No. 466/70/Edn date
11/11/1970). They should produce proper certificate from authorities concerned as and when required by the
Commission.
Note:- The candidates who claim concessions on the basis of any of the reason mentioned in para 2 of the General
Conditions should state “Are you eligible for age relaxations as “yes” on the online application and give details in
the space following. Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged
candidates. Upper age limit after allowing the relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years of age (See para 2
of General Conditions)
9. Last date for receipt of Applications:.17/10/2012,Wednesday upto 12 midnight.
10. Mode of submitting application:
Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ' system on the Official Website of Kerala Public
Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.org' for applying for the post. Candidates who have registered shall apply by logging
in to their profile using their User- ID and password. Candidates must exclusively click on the 'Apply Now' button of the
respective posts in the Notification link for applying for a post. No application fee is required. Candidates can view and
have a print-out of the details in the profile by clicking the link Registration Card, if required. Candidates are responsible for
the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before applying for a post, candidates must ensure
correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the User- ID for further communication with the
Commission. Applications once submitted will be received as provisional and particulars shall not be deleted or altered
after submission. Applications submitted not in accordance with the conditions of the notification will be summarily
rejected. Documents to prove Qualification, experience, community, age etc. have to be produced as and when called for .

12. If a Written test/OMR test is conducted as part of the selection, Hall Ticket of eligible candidates will be made
