FIFTH NCA NOTIFICATION (STATE-WIDE)
Applications must be submitted online through the official website of the
Commission after 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION'. Candidates who have already registered can
apply through their profile. This is the 5th NCA notification for the post due to the nonavailability
of qualified candidates belonging to SC and ST Community notified in the gazette
dated 13.05.2009, 16.04.2010, 31.03.2011 and 31.12.2011 as per Category Nos.163/2009,
93/2010, 30/2011, 547/2011&548/2011 respectively.

The above vacancies are now in existence. The ranked lists published as per this
notification will be valid until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies
earmarked to the above communities but remains unfilled due to the paucity of candidates
during the currency of the ranked list published for the post with effect from 16.01.2008.
5 Method of
appointment
: Direct Recruitment (from candidates belonging to reservation
groups mentioned in this notification)
(Applications of ST candidates will also be considered
in the absence of SC candidates and vice versa.)
Note:- The Applications of candidates belonging to other than the communities mentioned
in this notification will be summarily rejected. Individual rejection memo will not be
sent to them.
6 Age Limit : Age- 20-45. Only candidates born between 02.01.1968 and
01.01.1993 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the
post. (Including relaxations in Para 2(i) of the General
conditions)

Para (2) of the General conditions except Para 2(i))
7 Qualifications:-
1 Master's degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50 % marks
from
any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent
thereto in the respective subject by any University in Kerala.
2 (i) B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from
any of the universities in Kerala or a qualification recognised as equivalent
there to by any University in Kerala.
(ii) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned subject
B.Ed. Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and
Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala.
(iii) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree as specified in items (i) and
(ii) above, the persons with B.Ed. Degree in any subject acquired after a
regular course of study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a
qualification recognised as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in
Kerala.
3 Must have passed the State Eligibility Test for the post of Higher
Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by
the Agency authorised by the state Government.
Note. 1) In the absence of B.Ed. Degree holders, candidates having Master's Degree with
not less than 50% marks and who have passed the State Eligibility Test will be
considered. Preference shall be given to those who have acquired Ph.D/M.Phil.
Degree or qualified Junior Research Fellowship/ National Eligibility Test. The
teachers appointed under this provision will have to acquire B.Ed Degree at their
own expense within five years from the date of entry in service.
2) Those who have passed Language Teachers Training Course are exempted from
acquiring B.Ed qualification.
3) Persons who have acquired M.Ed. in the subject concerned recognised by any
University in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed. Qualification.
Exemptions:-
1) Those persons who have passed the State Level Eligibility Test for the post of College
Lecturers conducted by Govt. of Kerala are exempted from passing the State Eligibility
Test for Higher Secondary School Teacher.
2) Those persons who have passed the National Eligibility Test/Junior Research
Fellowship shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test.
3) Persons with Ph.D/M.Phil/MEd Degree shall be exempted from passing the State
Eligibility Test provided the M.Phil. in the concerned subject should be one awarded
by any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent thereto by any of the
Universities in Kerala.
4) The teachers who have completed 10(Ten) years of approved teaching service at the
High School Level in the General Education subordinate service shall be exempted
from passing the State Eligibility Test.
8. Mode of submitting application.
Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ' system on the
Official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.org' for applying for the
post. Candidates who have registered shall apply by logging in to their profile using their
User- ID and password. Candidates shall click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective post
in the Notification link for applying for a post. No application fee is required. Candidates can
view and have a print-out of the details in the profile if required, by clicking the link
Registration Card. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information
and secrecy of password. Before applying for a post, candidates must ensure correctness of the
information in their profile. The candidates can make any correction in their profile. But the
corrections which had made before the last date fixed for the receipt of application alone will be
available in the application of each post. Applications once submitted will be received as
provisional and particulars shall not be deleted or altered after submission. Applications
submitted not in accordance with the conditions of the notification will be summarily rejected.
Documents to prove qualification, experience, community, age etc. have to be produced as and
when called for.
