District in pursuance of this notification. Ranked List thus prepared and
published by the Commission shall remain in force until candidates are
advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked for the above
community, but remain unfilled due to the paucity of candidates during the
currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following dates in

(iv) The candidates belonging to above reservation community shall submit
application for this post to the district where the vacancy is in existence for
their community and shall note the name of that district against the relevant
column in the online application. Applications should not be submitted to more
than one district in response to this notification. If applications are submitted
contrary to the above direction and if he/she is selected his/her name will be
removed form the ranked list and disciplinary action will be taken against
him/her.
(v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue
District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O (MS) No.
154/71/PD dated, 27/05/1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one
Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to
another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the
date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is
allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O (MS) No.
4/61/PD dated, 02/01/1961. Candidates already in Government Service holding
the same post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this
post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified.
5 Method of appointment : Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to above
reservation communities only)
6 Age limit : (1) 18-42, Only Muslim, LC/AI OBC, Viswakarama, SIUC
Nadar/Dheevara , Hindu Nadar candidates born between
02.01.1970 and 01.01.1994 (both dates included) are
eligible to apply for the post. (Including the relaxation as
per para 2(i) of general conditions.)
(2) The upper age will be 44 in the case of SC/ST candidates
and adult members converted from Scheduled caste of
Christianity and their children (Such candidates shall be
born between 02.01.1968 and 01.01.1994) Both dates
included. (including the relaxation as per para 2(1) of
general conditions)
Note:- For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the
maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para 2 of
General Conditions under Part II of this notification except para 2(1)
7 Qualifications : -
(1) A Pass in Standard VII/III Forum.
(2) Must posses valid Driving Licence of three years standing to drive light motor
vehicles with Driver, badge.
(3) Proficiency in Driving light Motor Vehicles which is to be proved by a
Practical Test including 'H' test and Road Test conducted by the
Kerala Public Service Commission during the course of selection. Only those
who pass 'H' test are eligible for Road Test.
(4) Medical Fitness :-
(a) Ear – Hearing should be perfect.
(b) Eye - Distant Vision : 6/6 Snellen
Near Vision : 0.5 Snellen
Colour Vision : Normal
Night blindness : Nil
(c ) Muscles and joints : No paralysis, all joints must be capable of free
movement.
(d) Nervous System : Perfectly normal and free from any infectious
diseases.
Note :- (a) Candidates called for Practical Test will have to produce a medical certificate
in the prescribed form in original containing all relevant details as required in
para 7 (4) except (b) from a Medical Officer not below the rank of an
Assistant Surgeon. A Medical Certificate regarding eye sight from an
ophthalmologist in Government service also will have to be produced.
(b) The Candidates will have to furnish the full details regarding the Driving
Licence in relevant column (Qualification) of the application form.
(c) Physically Handicapped Persons are not eligible to apply for the post.
(d ) Candidates should possess a current Driving licence on the last date of receipt
of application and on the date of Practical Test and Interview.

hearing the ordinary sound signals ? Is his hearing perfect ?
5. Has the applicant any deformity or loss of finger, which would interfere with the
efficient performance of his duties as a driver ?
6. State of Muscles and Joints (No paralysis and all joints with free movements)
7. State Nervous System (Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases)
8. Does he show any evidence of being addicted to the extensive use of alcohol, tobacco
or drinks ?
