Note : The list of selected candidates published by the Commission in response to this notification
shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list will
continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of minimum period of
one year or till the expiry of three years which ever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from
the said list against the vacancy noted above and that may be reported to the commission in
writing during the period of currency of the list.
5 Method of appointment : Direct Recruitment
6. Age Limit : 22-40 . Only Candidates born between 2-1-1972 and 1-1-1990 (both dates
included) are eligible to apply. SC/ST/OBC candidates are eligible for
usual age relaxations. (for other conditions regarding age relaxations
please see para (2) of the General conditions given in the notification).
7 Qualifications :
(1) Master's Degree in the concerned subject (viz MA Sanskrit – Nyaya, MA – Sanskrit –
Vedantha, MA Sanskrit – Jyothisha respectively) with atleast 55 % marks.
(2) Must have passed a Comprehensive Test in the subject concerned specifically conducted for
the purpose by UGC or any agency duly constituted by the State Government in this behalf.
When qualifications are being equal, preference shall be given to those candidates who
possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam.
Note:-(i)
For SC/ST candidates minimum 50 % marks for masters Degree shall be sufficient.

(ii) For Ph.D holders who have passed masters Degree prior to 19.09.1991 50% marks for
master's Degree shall be sufficient.

(iii) Candidates who have obtained ph.D Degree in the subject concerned or have passed
M.Phil Degree in the subject concerned by 31-12-1993 are exempted from passing the

123/02/H.Edn. Dated 17/9/2002)
(iv) When the requirement is for Lecturer in a particular subject to be taught in Sanskrit,
candidates with MA (special) in the subject to be taught alone shall be eligible for selection
(G.O. (p) No. 41/94/H.Edn. Dated 21/03/1994 with amendment to the above GO viz G.O.
(p) No.114/94/H.Edn. Dated 06/08/1994.
(v) For recruitment to various posts under there rules, Degrees awarded from Universities
recognised by U.G.C alone shall be considered.
8. Mode of submitting Applications :
Candidates shall register by 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' on the Official Website of Kerala
Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.or g before applying for the post. Those who have
registered can apply by logging into their profile by using their User-ID and Password. Candidates
must click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts on the notification link to apply for a
post. No application fee is required. Candidates can view and have the print-out of details on the
profile if required by clicking on the link Registration Card. Candidates are responsible for the
correctness of the personal information and secrecy of Password. Before applying for a post,
candidates must ensure the correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the User-ID
for further communication with the commission. Application submitted is provisional and can not be
deleted or altered after submission. The application will be summarily rejected if non compliance with
the notification is found in due course of processing. Documents to prove Qualification, experience,
community, age etc have to be produced as and when called for.
