Note :- 1) The above vacancies are now in existence. Separate ranked list will be prepared for each
district in pursuance of this notifications. The list of selected candidates published by the
Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of
three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list after expiry of
the minimum period of one year is published. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancy
and also for the vacancies reported for Special Recruitment from SC/ST and ST only during the
pendency of the list.

The Selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis subject
to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidate
advised for appointment in one Revenue District from the Ranked list so prepared is not eligible
for transfer to another District unless he/she complete Five (5) years continuous service from the
date of commencement of service in the former District. Even if transfer is allowed after five
(5) years, it will be subject to the orders contained in G.O. (MS) No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961.
Candidates already in government service holding the post in one district are restricted from
applying for the same post in another district. But they can apply for the higher posts.
Candidates are not eligible to apply for the same post in more than one district. If a candidate
applier to more than one District and gets selected his/her selection will be cancelled and
disciplinary action will be taken against him/her.
5. Method of Appointment : Direct Recruitment.
(Special Recruitment from among
Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes only).
Note :- Applications received from non SC/ST candidates will be rejected. Individual communications
regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued.
6. Age :- 19–41. Only candidates born between 02.01.1971 and 01.01.1993 (both dates included) are
eligible to apply for this post.
Note :- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed upto 50
years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.
7. Qualifications :-
1) Must have passed the Plus Two Examination or its equivalent.
2) Male candidates must not be less than 160 cms in height and 76 cms round the chest with a minimum
expansion of 5 cms. In the case of females, the minimum height shall be 150 cms.
3) The candidates should produce a Medical Certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of
Assistant Surgeon as to their Physique, fitness and Capacity for active out door work as and when called
for.
Note :- 1) Candidates shall pass the Physical Efficiency test conducted by KPSC. They shall
qualify in any five events out of eight events specified below of the National
Physical efficiency, One Star Standard Test.

2) Preference shall be given to Ex-servicemen. In view of the ardous and Special nature
and responsibilities attached to the post Physically Handicapped Candidates shall not
be eligible to apply for this post.
3) Candidates appointed will be on probation for a period of 2 years on duty within a
continuous period of 3 years and the candidates appointed shall undergo a training as
may be prescribed by the Board of Revenue for a period of not less than 3 months.
The period of training shall count for probation and increment.
4) Every person deputed for training shall execute a bond agreeing to complete the
course of training and to the serve. Government after training for such minimum periods as may
be specified by the Board of Revenue (Excise) failing which he shall be liable to refund the cost of
training together with liquidated damages.
5) NCC cadets possessing 'A' 'B' 'C' certificates will be given weightage marks at the
rate of 2%, 3%, and 5% respectively.
8. Mode of Sending the application :-
Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ' system on the Official Website of Kerala
Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.org' for applying for the post. Candidates who have registered
shall apply by logging in to their profile using their User- ID and password. Candidates shall click on the
'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification link for applying for a post. No application fee is
required. Candidates can view and have a print-out of the details in the profile by clicking the link Registration
Card, if required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of

12. Appointments are made on the basis of the rank secured in the Ranked List of candidates prepared in
pursuance of this notification subject to the conditions laid down in GO (MS) No.142/72 PD dtd 13.4.1972,
GO (MS) No.309/73 PD dtd 29/11/73 and G.O (P) No.21/76/PD dated, 17.01.1976 and G.O.(P) No.
25/94/GAD dated, 22.01.1994 allowing special reservations to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and
in accordance with the procedures made for this purpose from time to time and subject to the rules under
sections 3 (c), 17 (a), 17(b) of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958.
13. If a written Test/OMR Test is conducted as part of the selection, admission Ticket of eligible candidates
will be made available on the Website of Kerala public Service Commission. Candidates are instructed to
