FIRST NCA NOTIFICATION
Applications must be submitted online through the official website of the
Commission after 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION'. Candidates who have already
registered can apply through their profile.
1. Department : Technical Education (Engineering Colleges)
2. Name of post : Lecturer in Architecture
3. Scale of pay : AICTE Scale
4. Number of vacancy : Viswakarma –1 (One)

The above vacancy is now in existence. The Ranked list published as per this
notification will be valid until candidates are advised and appointed against the
vacancies earmarked for Viswakarma Community but remain unfilled due to the
paucity of candidates during the currency of the Ranked list published on 20.09.2011
for the post.
5. Method of appointment: Direct Recruitment (from among candidates belonging to
Viswakarma community only)
Note:- Applications submitted by candidates other than Viswakarma Community will
be rejected. Individual communication regarding the rejection of their application will
not be issued.
6. Age Limit: 20-42
Only candidates born between 02.01.1971 and 01.01.1993 (both dates included) are
eligible to apply for this post. (Including the relaxation as per Para 2(i) of the general
condition)
 (For conditions regarding age relaxations, please see Para 2 (except 2(i) of part II
General Conditions).
 Officers of the Technical Education Department , Public Works Department,
Industries Department, Architecture and Town Planning Department having the
qualification prescribed for direct recruitment may also apply and they will be allowed
age relaxation to the extent of their service in those department. Maximum age limit
shall not exceed 50 years as on 01.01.2013. Such candidates should forward a service
certificate (in original) showing the length of their service as and when required by thecommission. Those who are eligible for age relaxation have to furnish the details in
column 8 of the application form.
7. Qualifications
First Class Bachelors Degree in Architecture (B. Arch.)
 OR
 First Class Masters Degree in Architecture
 Note: 1. Percentage of marks obtained for the above mentioned examination should
also be furnished in the column prescribed for noting qualification for the
post in the application forms. The term I Class means I Class with a
minimum of 60% aggregate marks.[G.O(P)No.6/2003/H.Edn. Dated
24.01.2003. The total marks of all the years/semesters of the course in
which University examinations are conducted shall be taken into account in
calculating the 60% marks.
2. Probation: Those who are appointed to the post shall from the date on
which they join duty be on probation for a period of two years on duty
within a continuous period of three years.
3. Liability to serve in Defence Services: Persons appointed to the post shall
be liable not withstanding that at the time of requisition they are holding
higher appointments to serve for a minimum period of four years (including
period spent in training) in the Defence services or on assignments relating
to Defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad, if so required. The liability
to serve in the Defence Services will be limited to the first 10 years of
service and will not ordinarily apply to persons above 40 years of age.
8. Mode of submitting Applications:
Before applying for the post, candidates should register as per “ONE TIME
REGISTRATION” scheme through the official website of Kerala Public Service
Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in. Those who have already registered can apply
by logging into their profile using his/her user ID and password. No application fee
is required. Candidates can view, rectify defects and print the details in the
registration card after entering the home page. Candidate are responsible to ensure
correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password and they shall keep
in mind the user ID for further communication with the commission. Applications
which are submitted not in accordance with the instructions given in the websitewill be summerily rejected. Documents to prove Qualification, age, community etc
have to produced as and when called for.
