5 Method of Appointment : Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes).
Note:- Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes
will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their
applications for the above reason will not be issued.
6 Age : 18-40.
Only Candidates born between 02.01.1973 and
01.01.1995 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for
this post. No other age relaxation will be allowed.
Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be
relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty)
years.
7 Qualifications:
(i) S.S.L.C.(ii) Current Motor Vehicle Driving Licence for driving light and heavy Motor
Vehicles (both HGV & HPV). (Candidates shall possess a current Driving
licence throughout all the stages of selection process as on the last date of
application, OMR test, practical test, interview, etc.)
(iii) Normal visual standards as required by M.V. Act and rules.
Physically handicapped candidates are not eligible to apply for the post.
Experience: Three years experience as Driver of HMV.
Probation: One year on duty within a continuous period of two years. After successful
completion of probation candidates will be confirmed in the service.
Note: 1) As per Government Circular No.23514/BPE/87/plg dated 05.07.88 the
qualification of “experience” will not be applicable to SC/ST candidates for
recruitment to post in public sector undertakings under the State Government.
2) The practical test including H test to assess the proficiency in driving light and
heavy motor vehicles will be conducted by the Kerala Public Service
Commission. Only those who qualify the ground test will be considered for Road
test.
3) Candidates should produce a Medical Fitness Certificate from a Medical Officer
not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon and a medical certificate regarding
vision obtained from an Ophthalmologist in Government Service (in the
prescribed form) as and when called for by the Commission. Form of Medical
