5. Method of appointment: - Direct Recruitment.
6. Age limit: - 18-42, ie, only candidates born between 01/01/1994 and 02/01/1970 (both dates included) are
eligible to apply for the post (Inluding the age relaxation as per para 2(i) of General condition) (for details regarding
other the age relaxation please see para 2 of the General Conditions except para 2(i))).
7. Qualifications: -
1) Degree in Veterinary Science.
2) Registration with the Kerala State Veterinary Council as envisaged in the Indian Veterinary Act,
1984 (Central Act of 52 of 1984).
3) Working knowledge in Malayalam.
Note:- (i) Relaxation from the above qualification under item 3 shall be allowed to persons belonging to
Linguistic Minorities in the State subject to the condition that they shall pass the Language Test in Malayalam as
provided in Clause (aaaa) of Rule 10 of Part II of the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958.
(ii) Working knowledge in Malayalam will be assessed by the Commission during the course of
selection.
Training:-
1) Candidates on appointment as Veterinary Surgeon Grade-II shall undergo within the period of
probation, the training course conducted by the Animal Husbandry Department and the period of
such training shall be treated as duty for the purpose of probation.
2) Persons in the Animal Husbandry Subordinate Service who have worked as Live Stock Assistants
for a period of not less than five years and personal released from the army who are appointed in
reserved vacancies will be exempted from undergoing the training.
3) Persons who have undergone the B.VSc and Animal Husbandry Course with an inbuilt programme
of internship training conducted by the Kerala Agricutural
University or any other Agricultural University shall be exempted from undergoing the training.
8. Mode of Sending Applications : -
